We had an amazing time at Gleddoch Hotel and Spa, enjoying superb facilities and a lovely dining experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, which made our stay special. However, we did face some minor issues, like the late room availability and the outdoor hot tub being closed during our visit, which slightly affected our relaxation. Overall, it's a fantastic getaway with a lovely ambiance and great views.

I had high hopes for this hotel given the beautiful pictures online, but unfortunately, my experience was marred by several issues. While the room was spacious and modern, the dining experience fell flat, and the lack of essential amenities like the hot tub put a damper on my stay. Additionally, the service during our dinner was inconsistent, leading to a less than enjoyable evening.

The room was spacious and modern, but certain features like the drawer handles were loose, leading to concerns about quality. On top of that, the view wasn't great unless you count the parking lot.

Set in a beautiful area with lovely grounds, the location has great views of the Clyde River, even if gaining access to certain areas within the hotel can be a challenge due to multiple stairs.
Dining

Dinner was average at best, with my steak being overcooked and some of the starter mussels being closed shut. Breakfast was disappointing with cold food.
Facilities

The facilities were not up to the mark as the outdoor hot tub and steam room were both out of service during our stay, which was disappointing.

The hotel has a beautiful scenic location and comfortable rooms, making it a lovely place for a getaway. However, the dining experience left much to be desired, especially with inconsistent service. While the staff was friendly, the lack of accessibility due to missing lifts and slow service impacted our overall experience. Overall, it feels like it has incredible potential but misses the mark in some areas.

Rooms

The Executive Double room we were given initially had an unfortunate view of a car park, but the alternative room was lovely with a nice outlook. It felt spacious but could have offered more luxury for the price.
Service

Service throughout our stay was inconsistent; while some staff were attentive and accommodating, there were moments of forgetfulness that affected our meals.

Facilities

Facilities were decent but impacted by the lack of lifts, making it challenging to navigate the multi-level building. The spa seemed to offer good treatments but we didn't manage to use them.

The hotel has a stunning location with beautiful views, but the experience was hit and miss. Some amenities were disappointing, particularly the pool, and the cleanliness needed improvement. While there were positives, like the decent dining options and some staff's friendliness, the overall service and facilities require attention.

The service was inconsistent. Some staff members provided great support, while others were less attentive, especially during busy times.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is beautiful, with great views over the grounds and proximity to nature, yet hard to access due to poor road conditions.
